FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
As I write this letter to our Democratic Committee, we are all concerned for the health of our State Representative and Committee member Hon. Joe Runions who has been diagnosed with the CoronaVirus. This hits home for all of us.
Joe is dedicated to his family, the IBEW, Labor, the Democratic Party and is a friend to all. While this global health disaster is touching everyone worldwide, I have kept waiting for the President of the United States to have a Fireside Chat to reassure our country and have some hope. This is not a Democrat or Republican Virus as this Virus is Nonpolitical and it will strike and kill no matter your political beliefs.
In January of 2020, President Trump had information from his National Security Council that told him 165 million people worldwide could die and the US Economy could be affected by $3 trillion dollars from the CoronaVirus. President Trump’s response was, “IT’S A DEMOCRATIC HOAX!” Tell that to the families that lost loved ones and can’t have a funeral.
Many of our Democratic processes for Caucuses and Delegate Selections are now different than it has ever been in History. Many of our Democratic Candidates and Organizations have had to cancel meetings, fundraising events and door knocking because of this Virus. Our own Democratic Committee is having to change dates for our meetings and fundraising activities including the annual Truman Gala. Our office is closed but we will be working remotely.
I’m calling on all Committee members to be Empowered and Share the Democratic Energy that is from within and under our control to achieve the Goals we all believe in. Trust your Democratic thoughts and act on it. We need you now!
May God Help the United States of America and the World!
