The Jackson County Democratic Committee offers opportunities throughout the year for currently enrolled or recently graduated students to participate as interns.
Our internships provide hands-on political experience and a stimulating work environment with Democratic activists and Party leaders. These unpaid positions have led to paid employment in campaigns or government service for a number of our former interns.
Applicants should demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills, attention to detail, and proficiency in standard office technology. They should be willing to commit at least five to ten hours per week, possibly including some weekend hours. Finally, they should possess a genuine interest in politics and support the Democratic Party's platform and candidates.
Interns support various day-to-day activities of the Party, including administration, field organizing, research, finance, and communications.
