Kansas City, MO – Jackson County Executive Mike Sanders will resign Dec. 31st. Sanders cited spending more time with his family as the reason for his resignation. Tom Wyrsch, Chairman of the Jackson County Democratic Committee, released the following statement:

Shortly ago, the Supreme Court of the United States ruled to uphold an important facet of the Affordable Care Act, nationwide subsidies, in a 6 vs. 3 decision in King v. Burwell. Among many accomplishments, the ACA has led to more than 17 million new people having health insurance.
